Lauren is in the School of Library Science, in the Book Arts program.  She previously studied art at Washington University in St. Louis. However, I'm not quite sure why.  She's a freelance writer and illustrator.  In 2000, her alphabet book ''What do Animals do on the Weekend?'' won the Nancy Kranzberg book of the Year Award at Washington University.
