	Michael Sherer is a former public librarian and a second-time sophomore at the University of Alabama. Having already earned a bachelor's in English and a master's in Library and Information Studies, he is changing directions completely and working toward a master's in Environmental Engineering. He is currently involved in the student chapters of the American Society of Civil Engineers and Engineers Without Borders, and he hopes to travel to Peru with the latter this summer. However, he hasn't abandoned libraries completely, as he currently works in the Digital Services department of Hoole Library. When he isn't chipping futilely away at a mountain of engineering homework or scanning documents at Hoole, he can be found playing guitar, reading comics, playing video games, or indulging some other equally nerdy pursuit.
