These scripts are for getting usable lists of information into a text file that can then have another script run over it or can be brought into a spreadsheet editor and used for comparison to other elements in a collections metadata.

monthly_gb_counter This Windows Batch script counts up the byte size and number of files created during a given month. Reliable for large volume searches in the windows OS where windows explorer search is prone to crash.

file_info_grabber This application is written in Ruby and uses the Shoes Module for its GUI framework. It allows a user to open a directory and collect from each file there and in all of the sub directories Filename,Extention,Size,Parent_directory,Output_file_name into a comma delimited text file. is is a simple well documented script that can easily be edited to collect other kinds of data for output.
