The Fireface 400 by RME is a Firewire-based audio interface used for the digitization of analog recordings.

As of approximately August of 2008, the Fireface 400 by RME unit is no longer the primary audio digitization device used, as a Fostex FR-2LE Field Memory Recorder was purchased so that digitization could occur independent of a computer.

See the Product Home Page for more information on this unit.
