Documenting new content released to LOCKSS

  1. On libcontent, back up the inLockss file in /srv/scripts/lockss to olderVersions with today's date concatenated on it. Then delete.
  2. From the modified allManSizes spreadsheet which now contains only a list of content not yet in LOCKSS, copy the first 2 columns (without the headings or totals; you just want the collection number and title for each line).
  3. Open inLockss on libcontent in the /srv/scripts/lockss/ directory. Insert the two columns there, and save the file
  4. Run whichOnes3 in that directory. Input today's date in the format yyyy-mm-dd. This is going to read in inLockss and try to add the entries to the inLOCKSS table in InfoTrack.
  5. Watch for output that indicates that you need to do an insert by hand. That means the script was unable to match up the title to what is in the InfoTrack.allColls table. The input would look like this:
insert into inLOCKSS values (NULL, 'u0003_0004179', NULL, NULL, 'A', '0', '2016-08-01')
(where the collection ID is u0003_0004179, it's an EAD (use 'D' if there's digital content), and the date of inclusion in LOCKSS is 2016-08-01)

For reference, the columns from inLOCKSS table are:

MariaDB [InfoTrack]> show columns from inLOCKSS;
| Field | Type | Null | Key | Default | Extra |
| dnum | int(30) | NO | PRI | NULL | auto_increment |
| id_2009 | varchar(60) | NO | | NULL | |
| subcollTitle | varchar(127) | YES | | NULL | |
| parentID | varchar(60) | YES | | NULL | |
| AnalogOrDigital | char(1) | YES | | NULL | |
| manifestNumber | int(5) | YES | | NULL | |
| datestamp | date | NO | | NULL | |
7 rows in set (0.01 sec)

ParentID (and subcollTitle) is/are only used for books in the Rare Book section u0002_00000003 or possibly for audio/images belonging to manuscript collections.

The manifest number is only important when there's multiple manifests for a collection, such as Woodward or Cabiness.

To verify the results, do the steps in LOCKSS_Reports.
