April has an MS in Library and Information Studies, and another in Public Administration; her undergraduate background is in Political Science and Business. Last I heard, she was considering going for a doctorate! April first joined Digital Services as an intern while in SLIS (fall of 2007), but that only whetted her interest. By January 2008 she was working as an Archival Technician in Hoole, processing manuscript collections. Her work on the other end of the hall has evolved to include selection of content, item-level processing, and now scanning as well. April is the driving force behind the multitudinous entries in our spreadsheets, indicating content ready for scanning and upload. Her diligence and prodigious productivity are both quite remarkable. While she may remain hidden, cloistered alone in a far-away workroom, her work is VERY evident, and the quality is excellent. We are grateful for April!
