Amanda is our Digitization Outreach Coordinator, in charge of usability studies, GTAs and interns, collaborative projects, and marketing. She's the one primarily responsible for our blog and Facebook page!

In 2011, Amanda completed her Masters of Library and Information Studies here at UA, with a double focus on children's librarianship and archives. Amanda hopes to become an archivist one day. Prior to coming to digital services, she worked in both print and digital media. From January 2010 - February 2011, Amanda served as Project Manager for the digitization of the Septimus D. Cabaniss collection, a project funded by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission. Then in early 2012 she performed a usability study that helped us determine how we need to modify Acumen.

In her spare time, Amanda enjoys photography, reading, and cooking. However, she doesn't have much spare time these days! Amanda's first baby (Adeline!) arrived in early March, but she's already back at work. As the wife of a military man, we know we won't get to keep her much longer, but we are grateful for all her hard work while she's still here.
