7. Writing Assistance and Study Skills

The University of Alabama Writing Center [http://www.as.ua.edu/english/02_undergraduate/writing_center.htm], located in 125 Morgan Hall, offers "free, friendly one-on-one assistance to supplement classroom instruction."

The Center for Teaching and Learning [http://catalogs.ua.edu/undergraduate/11140.html], in Osband Hall "provides academic support designed to improve students' academic performance." Resources include computer programs, videotapes, and preparation materials for entrance examinations for professional/graduate schools.

Library Resources:
The following manuals provide instruction in writing and citation style. Most of the libraries on campus keep some of these manuals at the reference desk. Check the Libraries' catalog for locations.
