Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
ILL works with a national network of libraries to order periodical articles
and
books that are unavailable at the UA Libraries. At no cost, students, faculty
and staff may use the service. Special students (not in a degree program) and
community
users are ineligible for ILL privileges. Most orders take two
weeks, though some may take longer. Fill out an ILL form online at http://illserver.lib.ua.edu/illiad/logon.html.
Visit Another Academic Library
The UA Libraries belong to the Network of Alabama Academic Libraries (NAAL).
UA students may borrow books from these libraries. For additional information about using other
libraries, consult a reference librarian at the Gorgas Information Services desk (Gorgas Library, 1st floor), 205-348-6047, or via the
Ask-A-Librarian service.
Ask for Assistance
The Librarians at the University of Alabama Libraries are always happy to
help you locate the articles you need. Contact us by phone, email, chat, or in-person
for assistance.
