The Sanford Media Resource and Design Center is staffed by one faculty member, two professional staff member, and a varying number of student workers. All staff members have a range of experience working in Apple's OS X and the production of creative media.

Lindley Shedd serves as the primary contact for faculty who are interested in planning course projects that would utilize the Sanford Media Center's resources or who seek media software instruction for small classes. She provides instruction in all aspects of media production and is the lead instructor for one-on-one instruction in web design and image manipulation.
Administrator and faculty member of the Sanford Media Center, Shedd received her MIS in Information Science from Indiana University School of Library and Information Science (Bloomington,IN)
where she was also a staff member in the Digital Library Program. Lindley has also completed a number of web design/information architecture projects over the past three years.

Wayne Rau

Wayne Rau serves as the supervisor of the Sanford Media Center's student workers. He provides instruction in all aspects of media production and is a
lead instructor for one-on-one instruction in video editing, DVD authoring, and media conversion.
Rau is a graduate of the University of Alabama Department of Telecommunication and Film. He has written, directed, and edited seven short films. Previously, he worked in the media production department of Harrah's Casino in New Orleans and as an Associate Producer for a regional production company.

Scott Barnes serves as the evening and weekend supervisor at the Sanford Media Center. He provides instruction in all aspects of media production and is a lead instructor for one-on-one instruction in video editing, DVD authoring, and media conversion.
Barnes graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Telecommunication and Film with a concentration in audio-visual production. As a filmmaker, he has screened serveral of his short films as part of the Sidewalk Scramble Festival. Previously, he worked for the Faculty Resource Center on campus.
When a patron visits the Sanford Media Center in person, telephones (205)348-4651, or e-mails randd@bama.ua.edu, they will likely be communicating with one of the student staff members at the Sanford Media Center's Help Desk. The Sanford Media Center Help Desk is the first point of contact for patrons of the Sanford Media Resource and Design Center. All student staff members are knowledgeable of Apple OS X applications and can provide patrons with beginning instruction in graphic design, video editing, page layout, web design, and audio recording.
