Computer Stations

A list and description of the varying computer stations.

Design Stations (DS1, DS2, DS3, DS4)

Each Design Station runs on a PowerMac G5 with a 20" Apple Cinema Display and has an Apple Superdrive, for CD and DVD burning. Each Station has a flatbed and slide scanner. Each Station has the following software: MS Office; Adobe Creative Suite CS2; Macromedia Studio 8; iLife Suite 2006; Comic Life Deluxe; Roxio Toast Titanium; OmniPage Pro OCR; and Fetch.

Audio Station (AS1)

The Audio Station (AS1) runs on a Quad PowerMac G5 with a 24" Dell Cinema Display and has an Apple Superdrive, for CD and DVD burning. There are several microphone, including a tube condenser for recording. For MIDI sequencing and composing, there is a MIDI Controller. Both Audio and MIDI interface with a Focusrite Sapphire breakout box. The station is located in a reinforced sound-proof group room. Users may break in their own instruments for recording purposes. AS1 has the following software: MS Office; Roxio Toast Titanium; Final Cut Pro Studio; Adobe Creative Suite CS2; Macromedia Studio 8; Coda Finale 2006; Felt Tip Sound Studio 3;Apple Logic 7; Propellerhead Reason; Apple Soundtrack Pro; iLife Suite 2006; Bias Peak Pro 5.

Video Stations (VS1, VS2, VS3)

Each Video Station runs on a Dual PowerMac G5 with a 23" Apple Cinema Displays and has an Apple Superdrive, for CD and DVD burning. Each Station is connected to a Canopus Firewire Bridge and has DVD, VHS, and mini-DV decks. Each Station has the following software: MS Office; Roxio Toast Titanium; Final Cut Pro Studio; iLife Suite 2006; Adobe Creative Suite CS2; Macromedia Studio 8.

Production Station (PS1)

Production Station 1 runs on a Quad PowerMac G5 with a 24" Dell Cinema Display. This station is connected to a Canopus Firewire Bridge and has DVD, VHS and MiniDV decks. PS1 has the following software: MS Office; Roxio Toast Titanium; Final Cut Pro Studio; iLife Suite 2006; Adobe Creative Suite CS2; Macromedia Studio 8.

Multimedia Production Station (PS2)

Production Station 2 runs on a Quad PowerMac G5 with a 24" Dell Cinema Display. This station is connected to a Canopus Firewire Bridge and has DVD, VHS and MiniDV decks. PS2 has the following software: MS Office; Roxio Toast Titanium; Final Cut Pro Studio; iLife Suite 2006; Adobe Creative Suite CS2; Macromedia Studio 8.

Multimedia Production Station (PS3)

Production Station 3 runs on a Quad PowerMac G5 with a 24" Dell Cinema Display. This station is connected to a Canopus Firewire Bridge and has DVD, VHS and MiniDV decks. Also, connected to PS3, an Edirol PCR-50 MIDI Keyboard Controller and Tascam US-122 Audio/MIDI USB Interface. PS3 has the following software: MS Office; Roxio Toast Titanium; Final Cut Pro Studio; iLife Suite 2006; Adobe Creative Suite CS2; Macromedia Studio 8; Apple Logic Express; Propellerhead Reason.

Dubbing Station (DUB1)

The Dubbing Station features two non-regional video cassette recorders, multiregional DVD player, audio cassette recorder/player, phonograph player, minidisk recorder, M-Audio midi controller, and Tascam US-122 Audio Interface. The Dub Station is connected to a Quad PowerMac G5 with a 24" Dell Cinema Display. The Dub Station has the following software: MS Office; Roxio Toast Titanium; Final Cut Pro Studio; Adobe Creative Suite CS2; Macromedia Studio 8; Felt Tip Sound Studio 3;Apple Logic 6; Propellerhead Reason; iLife Suite 2006; Apple Soundtrack Pro.
