Dr. Franky Abbott, Postdoctoral Fellow in History and Digital Humanities
Franky earned her PhD in American Studies from Emory University, with concentration on black migration and suburbanization in the U.S. South. She also has a M.A. in Southern Studies and a B.A. in Literature and African American Studies. At Emory, she worked as the managing editor of the open access journal Southern Spaces and as a graduate fellow for Emory's Digital Scholarship Commons (DiSC). Her interests in digital humanities include geospatial studies and mapping, text analysis, data visualization, and open access publishing.
