Where are self-service photocopiers located?
Gorgas Library: The copy center is located on the first floor. Equipment in this room includes seven copiers and a Copicard value adder/card dispenser. One of the copiers will copy in color. Assistance with copying is available in the copy center.
Additional copiers are located on the second floor in the current periodicals/reserves area and on floors 2M, 3, and 4M in the elevator lobby. Assistance is available by telephone from floors 2 and 4M.
Bruno Business Library: The copy center is located on the ground floor across from the circulation/reserve desk. Equipment in this room includes four copiers and a Copicard value adder/card dispenser.
Two additional photocopiers are available on floor 1.
McLure Education Library: Three photocopiers and a Copicard value adder/card dispenser are located on the main floor. There is an additional photocopier in the curriculum materials area on the basement level. This library does not have a copy center.
Rodgers Science and Engineering Library: The copy center is located on the first floor across from the circulation/reserve desk. Equipment in this room includes three copiers and a Copicard value adder/card dispenser. Another copier is located in the current periodicals area on the first floor, and there are two copiers on the second floor.
How do I purchase a Copicard?
Copicard value adder/card dispensers are located in Gorgas Library, Bruno Business Library, McLure Education Library, and Rodgers Science & Engineering Library. A permanent, reusable Copicard may be purchased from the dispenser for $1.00 ($.70 of copying value and $.30 for the card itself). After paying the initial cost of a Copicard, you may add value to your card for photocopying. When you add value to your Copicard, be sure to check the balance displayed on your card before you leave the copy area.
How do I use a Copicard?
When you insert a Copicard into the Copicard reader attached to the photocopier, the balance on the card is displayed. As you copy, the cost of each page copied is automatically subtracted from your Copicard. A separate reader is available for use with the ACTion card. The ACTion card reader also displays your available balance and adjusts the balance as you make copies.
Remember to remove your Copicard or ACTion card from the card reader when you have finished copying! How do I report a problem with photocopying?
When you are in Gorgas Library, report equipment failure or problems with copy quality to the assistant on duty in the copy center. Also in Gorgas Library there is a telephone connected directly to the copy center located near the copier on floor 2 in current periodicals/reserve and floor 4M in the elevator lobby.
When you are in one of the other libraries, report equipment failure or problems with copy quality to staff at the circulation desk.
May I get a refund?
Be careful to inspect your photocopies regularly as you are copying because the Libraries will refund the cost of only one copy if a machine is reproducing defective copies.
Microform reader/printers
Printing from microforms using a Copicard is available in each of the libraries. Copies cost $.10 each.
