EQUIPMENT/FURNISHINGS IN GROUP STUDY ROOMS
  • Whiteboards: Rocket Room, Cahaba River Room, Great Bear Room, Nightingale Room, Yellowhammer Room, Mount Fuji Room, Pi Room
  • Electrical outlets: all rooms
  • Wireless network access: all rooms
  • Electronic Smart Board: Nightingale Room
ACCESSORIES REQUIRED

For using the Smart Board in the Nightingale Room: three cables; special pen and eraser. Check-out at Circulation Desk.

For using the Smart Board located near entrance to Nightingale Room: special pen and eraser; wireless keyboard and mouse.  Check-out at Circulation Desk.

For using the regular whiteboards: special dry erase “pens” and eraser. Check-out at Circulation Desk.

OTHER

Two individual Study Rooms are on 2nd floor (with wireless, desk and chair, and electrical outlets).

A Silent Study Zone is on 2nd floor.

Group Study Room Use Policy
 
  1. Group study rooms are restricted to use by UA students and faculty.
  2. Note, in table above, the minimum number of people in a group study room.
  3. Persons in a room who are not actively working as a member of a group may be asked to move to another location in the library.
  4. Group study rooms are available first-come-first-served (no reservations)
  5. Students must leave rooms in good order.
  6. The library is not responsible for loss of personal items left in rooms.
  7. The library will be vigilant in monitoring use of group study rooms.
