Defined: FLE — An area of study concerned with the social and cultural applications of written and verbal proficiency of a language other than one’s native language.

MLE — Study of pronunciation, grammar, composition and reading of foreign languages in contemporary, as opposed to ancient or classical languages (i.e. Greek, Latin, etc.).
Locating Books for Foreign/Modern Language Education:

This collection is available on microfiche and is located next to the ERIC microfiche on the basement level of McLure Library.
