J. S. Nance letter, 1861 July 16
Letter dated 16 July 1861, from Huntsville, to somebody named Charlie. Nance complains that he has had no letter from Sallie, writes of the weather, and describes church services.

Typed carbon copy of a film script titled "Napoleon: A Picture in Six Parts." In English, interleaved occasionally with pages of German translation. In two folders dated 13 October 1933 and 15 October 1933.

Mrs. R. D. Neeley diaries and papers, 1925-1931
Diary of this noted Selma, Alabama vocalist. It iincludes clippings about concerts and performances, impressions of Depression life, and accounts of trips to Florida and Cuba in 1931.

Network of Alabama Academic Libraries (NAAL) records, 1983-1991
These records consist of two series, Administrative Files maintained in the Montgomery Alabama office of NAAL by the director, and Research and Project Reports. The Administrative Files include correspondence, reports, grant applications, handbooks, and other materials documenting the organization and activities of NAAL and of its constituent units. Minutes of constituent units sometimes appear in the records but the minutes of NAAL itself have been deposited with the Alabama Department of Archives and History. Research and Project Reports consist of research files and reports on grant projects conducted by NAAL, primarily related to coordinated collection development.

New Hope Baptist Church of Christ, Wiley, Alabama records, 1881-1883
This collection consists of photocopies of the Wiley, Alabama New Hope Baptist Church of Christ meeting minutes, letter of faith, and financal records, 1881-83.

Includes lists of marriages, deaths, baptisms, members and pastors, monthly meetings, Women's Auxiliary proceedings, and financial records of this Presbyterian Church in Knoxville, Alabama.

Grace Meredith Newhill letter, 1916 July 18
Letter dated 16 July 1918 to a Mr. Owen on differences between Ku Klux Klan's original prescript and the revised prescript.

John Newland and George Wilcox receipt, 1811 March 6
A receipt by John Newland and George Wilcox dated 6 March 1811 acknowledging payment by Hugh Lemasster for payment of 1809's taxes on his farm and farm property, including 3 slaves.

Newtown (Tuscaloosa), Alabama collection, 1977-1979
Documents and manuscripts regarding the early history of Newtown (later Tuscaloosa), an early Alabama settlement which was the site of the first Tuscaloosa County courthouse and also the state capitol. Includes copies of maps of the Newtown area, early deeds, and newspaper articles on local history.

William D. Nixon business records, 1907-1936
Records of a country store in Calhoun County which reflect the economic and social circumstances of rural north Alabama in the early twentieth century.

Stephen N. Noble legal papers, 1888-1911
Deeds for land in Calhoun County, Alabama, a United States Land Office document, and West Anniston Land and Improvement Company deeds. Also contains administrator's records for Stephen Noble Sr. and land in Haralson County, Georgia.

Roy L. Nolen correspondence, 1925-1944
Correspondence between Montgomery, Alabama postmaster and Democratic Party activist Roy L. Nolen and U.S. Senator Lister Hill and a few other persons. The letters address appointments, elections, political campaigns, the war effort, and etc, 1928-44.

Eliza Thomas Nolly papers, 1862-1866
This collection consists of entries taken from Nolly's “Album of Friendship,” copies of outgoings letter to her brother, Edward Dromgoole Nolly and sister Martha Ann Otey, extracts from her theme book, and a letter from a friend, Annie Glascock(?). Except for last, all are from the period when Nolly was a student at Tuscaloosa Female College. Annotated with information about family and Nolly herself. The items by Nolly contain news about the school and school entertainments, faculty, Tuscaloosa, and her family.

Two letters on the same sheet of paper to G. R. Frienson or Freinson of Livingston, Alabama by John A. Nool[?] and Richard S. Jones, relating to business matters.

Norfolk County, Virginia, documents, 1755
Petition for valuation of land on mill site of Robert Tucker and summons for Isaac Moore and wife Ann in the matter of Richard Harris, executor of estate of David Dears, vs. Robert Barr. Dated 1755.

North collection, 1918 and n.d.
Photostatic copy of signal log of H.M.S. Canning, Houton Bay, Scapa Flow, on the day the armistice ending World War One took effect (11 November 1918), and pencil sketch labeled "on the Alabama," n.d.

James Heyward North diary, 1861
Copy of original held in University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Southern Historical Collection. The diary was written former U.S. Navy officer who sided with the Confederacy. It describes his efforts to acquire ships and position coast defenses, and travels to Ireland, London and Paris.

Northport Furniture Company accounts, 1911-1914
Accounts with individuals and suppliers, often with notes of purchases, 1911-14.

S. R. Norton letters, 1864-1865
Letters of a soldier in the 18th Michigan Infantry to his wife, written from Decatur, Stevenson, and Huntsville, Alabama and Nashville, Tennessee, 1864-65.

Josiah and Sarah Deas Nott papers, 1855-1882
Documents and letters of this well-known Mobile, Alabama, physician and his wife, dealing with property and the Deas family estate.
