Elizabeth Herndon Inge (Mrs. William Bullock Inge) letter, 1864 February 1
Letter dated 1 February 1864, written from home near Forkland, Greene County, Alabama to her sister, A. Tremlet Herndon, in Mobile. Asks her to purchase cloth for her, discusses need for salt, and gives news of family and friends.

George B. Inge papers, 18??-1970s
Research materials for the book, The Herndon and Inge Families: Genealogical, Historical, Biographical. Cullman, Ala. : Gregath Co., 1977. Contains correspondence concerning the composition of the book, note cards, handwritten notes, newspaper clippings, excerpts from books containing genealogical information, copies of manuscript, and correspondence of Inge family members.

Prentiss Ingraham and Joseph H. Ingraham papers, 1839-1950
Material relating to Prentiss Ingraham and his father, Joseph Holt Ingraham, kept by PI's daughter, Rosa. Included are clippings, letters, poetry, photographs and other documents. Also a list of books by Ingraham held in the W. S. Hoole Library.

Letters from Widmer to Tuck concerning work; 1 letter to Widmer from J.W. Douglas of the Treasury Department in Washington, D.C., and 1 letter to Tuck from the "Acting" Collector, 2nd Division Alabama.

E. Irby letter, 1821 August 16
Letter dated 16 August 1821, from Huntsville, Alabama to Haynie Hatchett, McFarland store, Lunenburg Co., Virginia, concerning his recollection of a debt owed Dr. Hatchett, news of family, friends and business. Notes the destruction by fire of the newly built theatre in town, construction of a canal, and the state of local crops.

Biographical sketches of the Italian settlers of Lambert, Alabama, photocopy of Sadie Hattenstein's obituary, and a compilation of information on Italians in Alabama from 1890-1920.
