Reserve materials for music courses as well as video and sound recording reserves are housed in the Music Library.
Checking Out Course Reserves
You may check out course reserves at the Music Library circulation desk. Please tell the attendant your professor’s name and the item’s call number. This is the only way to find your reserve item. For articles on electronic reserve, please go to

Course Reserves materials circulate for a limited amount of time. Check-out periods are:
• 2 hours (in-library use only)
• 4 hours (in-library use only)
• End of day (in-library use only)
• Overnight
• 2 days
• 4 days
• 7 days
• 10 days
All reserve items have labels on them stating the circulation period. Please note the time limit. Fines for overdue reserve items are $1.00 per hour for in-library-use items and $1.00 per day for take-home reserves. All Music Library reserve items must be returned to the Music Library circulation desk.
Placing Items on Reserve

"How to Place Items on Course Reserve" guide. To place items on reserve in the Music Library, faculty and graduate teaching assistants should complete and submit the appropriate Course Reserve Request Form:
You may submit Course Reserve Request Forms by
email, by intra-campus mail (Attn: Rose Loucks, Box 870266), or in person at the Music Library circulation desk. Please allow one week for materials to be placed on reserve.
