Gorgas Music Library supports the curriculum and research of the UA School of Music, which serves approximately 400 undergraduate and graduate students and 40 full-time faculty members.  The Music Library also provides resources and instructions for faculty and students from other academic departments, including the Department of Theatre and Dance.
 
The Music Library has approximately 50,000 scores and books, 350 periodical titles, and almost 20,000 audio and video recordings, including CDs, LPs, video cassettes, and DVDs.  The collection focuses mainly on Western classical music, with additional coverage of musical theatre, jazz, rock, and other vernacular genres, as well as non-Western music.
