1.Database: Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center [http://infotrac.galegroup.com/menu] Note: this is a new database and is not yet available on the Libraries Databases page. Use the URL given here. **You may not be able to search this database from off campus.** Scroll down to the bottom of the list and click on Opposing Viewpoints…
Tips:Use the * symbol to broaden a search. Example: pira* will retrieve records containing the words piracy, pirated, pirating, and pirates. The Basic Search default is a Subject search (fewer results); change to Keyword or Full-Text to get more results. A tab that is grayed-out has no information in that category.
2.Database: Academic Search Premier Go to the Libraries' home page [http://www.lib.ua.edu/], click on Databases in the Search column, click on the letter A, scroll down and click on Academic Search Premier.
Tips: Use the * symbol to broaden a search. Example: teen* will retrieve records containing the words teen, teens, teenager, teenagers. Limit your search to Scholarly (Peer reviewed) journals. Type "oppos* OR pro" (exactly as written, but without the quotation marks) into one of the search fields to get opposing viewpoints or pro and con arguments.
