University Libraries lends materials and provides photocopy items from the collections to individuals through other libraries. Libraries may submit their requests via OCLC, ALA request forms, or the web (contact staff for information).
CIRCULATING/NON-CIRCULATING MATERIALS
Books, circulating copies of theses and dissertations, and government documents are loaned on request. Photocopies of periodical articles and duplicates of microfiche are sent on request. At the discretion of University Libraries, reference and microfilm materials may be loaned. Except under special circumstances, University Libraries does not lend audio/visual materials, most special collection items, or periodicals (10 years old or less).
LOAN PERIOD
Materials may be loaned for four weeks, subject to recall, and may be renewed at the discretion of University Libraries. Material may be restricted to "In-Library Use Only." To protect materials from possible damage or loss, special packaging and commercial shipment services may be required.
CHARGES
Borrowing libraries (except those participating in reciprocal and consortial agreements, government libraries, and public libraries) will be charged a flat fee of $10.00 for interlibrary loan services. International borrowing libraries will be charged a flat fee of $20.00 for interlibrary loan services. Invoices are mailed after the requested material has been received. Material that has been damaged, lost, or reported missing will be billed at the discretion of the head of the Interlibrary Loan Department
