How To Search
Project Muse

Project Muse features the full text of over 100 scholarly journals in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Arts, and Mathematics. Dates of coverage vary by journal, but none precede 1993. Articles are presented in PDF or HTML format.

Basic Searching

> SEARCH: type in keywords from the title, subject, or author’s name. Do not type in the Boolean operators (And, or, not). You can select one from the pull-down menu, or "exact match", which searches for the exact phrase you enter.
> You can also select which field you wish to search, and change the display of results.
> * Is used for truncation. Currently there is no wildcard in Project Muse searching.

Advanced Searching

> Gives many more options and more flexibility:
> Limit search by date, document type, journal title, subject group or collection.
> Search using Boolean operators and keywords in different search fields.

Printing, Emailing, Saving

> Print or save using the browser’s or Adobe Acrobat’s function.
> Emailing articles not currently supported by browser.
