Fines

Fines/Fees Policy for Interlibrary Loan
Fines

Fines for reserve materials are as follows

Lost Items

All items that are 60 days overdue are automatically declared lost, and replacement and processing fees, as well as the maximum fine for the item, are charged to your account. If an item is returned in good condition within six months, the replacement fee may be refunded. The processing fee and fine are non refundable.

Replacement fees

Damaged Items

If you return an item damaged, the item will be repaired (if possible), and your account will be charged for the costs of the repairs. If the item cannot be repaired, the appropriate replacement fee will be charged to your account.

Viewing Fines and Fees Online

You may find out if you have any current fines by accessing your patron account and scrolling down the screen to Fines and Fees. Any unpaid fines will be listed there. Since student fines are automatically transferred to the Bursar's Office, fines that are more than two days old may not appear when you look at your patron account through the Libraries' catalog. Check with the circulation desks in any of the University Libraries if you have questions about your fines.
