McLure Education LibraryLocation: The McLure Education Library, a department of the University of Alabama Libraries, exists to serve the faculty and students of the College of Education and the Graduate School of Education. Collection: Its collection includes approximately 130,500 books, 300,000 microfiche and 13,500 bound periodicals. The library also subscribes to 450 periodical or magazine titles. Another dimension of the collection is seen in the School Library (preschool to young adult) and the Curriculum Materials Center (curriculum guides, textbooks, games, filmstrips, etc.). Subjects emphasized in the collections include: educational leadership, athletic training, health studies, counselor education, educational/school psychology, educational research, education computer technology, educational foundations, elementary and early childhood education, secondary education, fine arts education, human performance, and special education.
