Cameras, tripods and audio recorders are available at the Sanford Media Center (SMC), 205B Gorgas Library - 2nd floor.
Where to Edit?
The Sanford Media Center has stations with iMovie and Final Cut Pro. If you need help learning the software, please set up a Consultation with the SMC staff.

• 3 Students • 3 Minutes • 1 Movie
Make a short movie promoting library resources/services and you could WIN.
Movies can be in any style. Narrative, Documentary,
Music video, etc... YOU CHOOSE.
Dates and Times:
-Sept 29-----@ 5:00pm: Deadline to register a team
-Oct 10------@ 5:00pm: Video submission deadline
-Oct 11-12----Judges vote
-Oct 13-16---Online voting
-Oct 18-------@ 7:00pm: Finale, Ferguson Theater
Videos must include at least 2 Libraries and 3 elements:

Things to remember:

Teams of 3 currently enrolled students.

Movies cannot be over 3 minutes in length.

Videos must be original work and cannot contain copyrighted material.

Videos submitted on a DVD as a High-Quality data file, along with a completed Submission Form.

The use of UA logos and UA music is restricted to the objects in the Package.zip provided.

Content should be appropriate for the general public.

Respect Library patrons; Ask for permission before filming.
Prizes:

Prizes or prize packages are for each registered team member, you don't have to share.
1st Place: Full HD camcorder, Motion-Cam tripod, HCSD Card, Carrying Kit bag
2nd Place: Apple iPod Touch 8GB, 4th Gen
3rd Place: Apple Magic Mouse
Judging:
FIRST ROUND: The submissions will be reviewed to make sure they meet ALL criteria. Those that do not will not move on to the second round.
SECOND ROUND: A panel of experienced judges will select the finalists.
THIRD ROUND: All finalist videos will be be available for public vote on the University Libraries website.
Winners will be announced at the October 18 live Grand Finale, 7pm Ferguson Theater.
