Education– Birmingham-Southern College, A.B., 1953; Alabama Polytechnic Institute, 1956-1957; University of North Carolina, Ph.D., 1961. Taught at Auburn University and the University of North Carolina; Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, 1961-1997. Chair, Labor Relations Council, 1985-97.\u00a0 Member Industrial Relations Research Association, Academy of International Business, American Economic Association, Southern Economic Association. Distinguished Alumni Award, Birmingham-Southern College, 2000. Died March 1, 2008.<\/p>\n
