Employed by Gadsden Leader, 1892-95;\u00a0 Gadsden Times, 1895; cast iron soil pipe company, Gadsden for two years, Chattanooga for one year; insurance company, Atlanta; managing editor, Gadsden Evening Journal, 1920-1924;\u00a0one of the founders of\u00a0 the\u00a0Gadsden Evening Star, 1925; combined with Times, 1927; remained with the Times until his death 1954.
